Pass Criteria

To pass each module to a satisfactory standard, please view the pass criteria outlined below.

Please be aware that each student is continuously reviewed/assessed on a weekly basis and again at the end of the 10 week programme during a final performance assessment. The assessment consists of 1) How you progress each week and whether you are hitting the criteria for each individual module as expressed verbally in class one of each module 2) The level and depth of your preparation 3) Your final scene assessment 4) Your commitment to your tutorial goals. 5) Your personal responsibility towards your development. 6) That you have not exceeded absences outlined in the learning contract.

If the work you produce doesn’t meet the criteria you will automatically fail the module.

TO PASS A MODULE THE STUDENT MUST:

  • Have approached the training in a professional, disciplined manner showing respect for the craft.
  • Completed 100% of the prep work, regardless of absences.
  • Completed the prep work to a professional standard, which includes detailed, in depth work, with a clear focus on originality.
  • Committed to all points outlined in the learning contract – including the 2 absence limit
  • Integrated the terms method techniques into performances week by week and in the final assessment
  • Score 50% or above “excellent” on the actor’s development overview, which is an overview of the 10 weeks, scores 30 or more each week on the weekly assessment sheet.
  • Have worked with focus each week to achieve the weekly goals you set yourself and termly goals as discussed in your private tutorial.
